Grief: The Hidden Pain: Transcending the density of loss
Have you ever felt a deep sadness in your heart? One that seems to sit behind the scenes. With so much movement in the personal, and collective field we could simultaneously be feeling Joy and Grief, which can be confusing. As humans we tend to have a natural tendency to bypass feelings. As consciousness and awareness grows we are learning that this isn’t the way, we are also discovering parts of ourselves that are grieving unconsciously. Every time we have skipped over a feeling, our physical body kept score. Grief causes real, physical symptoms, because the brain treats deep loss as a major survival threat. We can experience pressure in our chest or throat or actual pain, fatigue even when well rested. Stomach issues constant upset stomach, struggle with sleep, loss of appetite, sore muscles, joint pain, or constant headaches, also colds more frequently. We also experience deep sadness or despair, anger, guilt, yearning, and relief. Grief isn’t just tied to loosing a loved one, grief can be caused by ending a relationship, loss of a pet, health change, job or financial loss, life transitions, loss of a dream, death of an old self. Coming off of the Pisces Lunar eclipse and all that was stirred up on what the Moon called forth a reboot of emotions. We will explore the seen and unseen parts of grief that resides inside our bodies that want to be transcended, and maybe discover grief that has been hidden under the surface, and open an energetic doorway of clearing and making way for more light, love and inner peace through Kundalini Somatic practices to reveal, release, and soften the heart.
